
Danielle E. Alvarez is manager of events and communications at the Climate Leadership Initiative (CLI), where she works closely with the team and CLI’s partners to create meaningful touchpoints for philanthropists. She firmly believes in the power of bringing people together to inform, activate, and inspire giving towards a healthy and inclusive world.
Danielle brings nearly a decade of experience in strategic communications and event curation. Prior to joining CLI, Danielle led fundraising for the Immigration Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) where she designed and ran small and large-scale gatherings to supercharge donor engagement and giving. She previously collaborated on hundreds of fundraisers at 501 Auctions (now Community Brands) and developed public symposiums nationwide with Zócalo Public Square and partners.
Danielle holds a BA in magazine journalism and modern foreign languages from Syracuse University and completed her postgraduate degree in Global Communications at the American University of Paris. Danielle is proficient in Spanish and French. She is excited to lend her skills to healing the planet and improving the lives of all whom we share it with.
