Whitney Kollar is a senior philanthropy advisor at the Climate Leadership Initiative (CLI), where she supports new and existing climate donors by helping them maximize their impact with the resources they need to confidently enter or scale their climate giving.
Whitney has worked with both individual philanthropists and foundations to tackle the world’s most pressing environmental challenges for more than 18 years. Prior to joining CLI, Whitney spent 14 years as a senior member of the global fundraising team at Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where she focused on building a donor community to fund EDF’s priorities. She also has experience as a lobbyist and campaign strategist in state and federal races.
Whitney holds a BA in political science from the University of Georgia, as well as a Certificate of Environmental Ethics. Based in Colorado, Whitney is an avid outdoor enthusiast and a mother of two boys who inspire her every day to create a cleaner, more equitable world for future generations.
