Ursula Vesala

Ursula is a senior philanthropy advisor at Climate Lead, where she supports new and existing climate donors to confidently enter or scale their climate giving. Previously, as director of development, West Coast, at Cornell University, Ursula led a specialized team dedicated to driving high-level philanthropic impact, in addition to her own portfolio. She was responsible for setting the strategic vision for donor engagement and programming for the West Coast.
Ursula brings a wealth of principal and major gifts experience from Stanford, Yale Law School, Columbia, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Prior to her career in philanthropy, Ursula pursued a career as a historian and, in that pursuit, taught undergraduate history courses at Tulane and Loyola Universities in New Orleans, LA.
