Maria is a project manager at Climate Lead, where she collaborates across teams to empower philanthropic leaders to take action by supporting strategic climate solutions.
Prior to joining Climate Lead, Maria worked as a consultant at BSR, where she advised companies on sustainability strategy, climate change, and supply chain responsibility. Previously, she acted as a program officer at the World Wildlife Fund, working to eliminate deforestation and other unsustainable practices from commodity supply chains.
Originally from Ecuador, Maria holds an MSc in environmental change and management and an MBA from the University of Oxford. She is passionate about working with organizations and individuals to drive systems change and create a world where people live in balance with nature. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
