Kristen Cothran
Manager, Communications
Kristen is the communications manager at Climate Lead, where she is responsible for the creation and dissemination of content for a variety of Climate Lead audiences and mediums, including the climatelead.org website.
With nearly a decade of experience spanning industries and organizations and a passion for equity and social impact, Kristen has honed her ability to create effective communication strategies that resonate with diverse audiences. Prior to joining Climate Lead, she worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the Coronavirus Task Force; Emory University, where she worked on increasing minority participation in clinical trials; and USA Today. Kristen has a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on non-profit management.
At Climate Lead, Kristen leverages her extensive experience in communications, digital media strategy, and brand and project management to help drive climate action. She aspires to see a world in which all people have the power, conditions, and resources to achieve an optimal quality of life.
