Gideon Bresler

Gideon partners with philanthropists eager to fund game-changing climate solutions, working with them to develop bold giving strategies that align with their values and create scalable impact. A longtime leader in the environmental community, he brings deep expertise in connecting capital to high-impact climate action.

Gideon has worked on solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges through strategic philanthropy, community building, and diplomacy for more than 15 years. Prior to joining Climate Lead, Gideon led the advising team working with philanthropic families to create purpose-driven impact in his role at the Wildlife Conservation Society. Previously, he served in Her Majesty’s Diplomatic Service, the diplomatic service of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland—advising British and American military leaders in Afghanistan, and then serving as chief of staff at the British Embassy in Washington, D.C. 

Gideon holds a bachelor’s degree from Imperial College of London and a master’s degree from Tufts University. Having lived, worked, and scuba dived across five continents, Gideon is fortunate to have a global network and a true appreciation for the brilliance and fragility of our planet.
