Rocío O’Rourke

Director, Events and Experiences, Communications

Rocío is director of events and experiences at Climate Lead, where she leads the design, strategy, and execution of philanthropic events. She has dedicated two decades to promoting a healthy and equitable world through hundreds of events, lectures, and concerts.

Prior to joining Climate Lead, Rocío served as director of events and the ambassador program for The Nature Conservancy, where she and the team she led were recognized for their innovation. Previously, she designed and implemented nationwide campaigns and events for Amnesty International. In these roles, Rocío produced large-scale gatherings including the Earth Day Summit, Bringing Human Rights Home, and the Shine a Light on Human Rights awards ceremony. She also led mobilizations for statewide campaigns as well as coalitions addressing social issues facing Hispanics in the United States.

Rocio studied international relations at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and at the London School of Economics. Now based in Los Angeles, Rocío is a long-time advocate for climate justice, the environment, educational access, and prisoners of conscience.
