Megan Lardner

Associate Director, Content Strategy

Megan is associate director of content strategy at Climate Lead, where she specializes in creating high-impact communications that inspire action on and investment in climate change solutions. Megan partners with other Climate Lead teams, content experts, and fellow communications professionals to identify the best stories and information to help philanthropists understand both challenges and potential solutions.

Most recently, Megan led the development communications team at the California Academy of Sciences. In that role, she produced assets to activate donor support on far-reaching programs and initiatives, including tackling climate change through science-based solutions; launching the next generation of STEM leaders; and mobilizing scalable conservation models globally. Previously, Megan worked as a television and documentary producer for PBS, HBO, and NBC, and has extensive experience managing creative teams to bring impact stories to life using text, audio, video, infographics, photography, and animation.

Megan holds master’s degrees in journalism and Latin American studies from the University of California, Berkeley. She has lived and worked as a teacher and journalist in several countries in Latin America and speaks conversational Spanish and basic Portuguese. She is excited to work with the Climate Lead team to inspire action for climate solutions that benefit everyone.
