Kristen Batten

Kristen Batten is the director, philanthropy team operations at Climate Lead where she oversees the team’s priorities, planning, and systems with an eye to growing Philanthropy’s capabilities, increasing team efficiency, and ensuring vibrant partnership across the organization.  

Kristen has more than two decades’ experience working in the environmental nonprofit space and is dedicated to protecting a thriving planet for future generations. Before joining Climate Lead, Kristen managed donor relations and campaign teams at The Nature Conservancy, the Northern Sierra Partnership, and most recently, Earthjustice where she established a centralized donor marketing and engagement program, expanding the team’s size and scope over seven years. 

Kristen moved to the Bay Area after earning her undergraduate degree at the University of British Columbia. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys tending her pollinator and native plant garden and taking her family to see live music at any of the iconic Bay Area music venues.
