
Elena Huisman supports CLI’s managing director to engage and equip philanthropists to act on climate with the urgency required.
Prior to joining CLI, Elena was the portfolio manager at Growald Climate Fund, where she led on grant lifecycle management and impact evaluation for venture philanthropy. She also served at the National Environmental Education Foundation as a member of the inaugural cohort of the Environmental Fellows Program at Yale in partnership with the Environmental Grantmakers Association.
Elena holds a master’s degree in Environmental Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan and a BA in Environmental Studies and Internationals Affairs from Northeastern University. Based in Northampton, Massachusetts with her husband, Elena can be found gardening, biking, and advocating for complete streets in her free time.
