Yamide Dagnet
Yamide Dagnet is the senior vice president, international, at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where she leads the vision and strategy for NRDC’s international programs. Prior to joining NRDC, she was the director for climate justice at the Open Society Foundation. She has deep, multiregional expertise on climate justice and advancing environmental objectives, with experience in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. Previously, Yamide was the director of climate negotiations at the World Resources Institute, focusing on the equitable implementation of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Other positions she has held include UK policy lead and negotiator on the UNFCCC measurement, reporting and verification framework; UK deputy focal point for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; reviewer of countries’ national policies under the UNFCCC; and France’s focal point for the EU neighborhood policy and twinning program. She has a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Université de Technologie de Compiègne.
