Senior Philanthropy Director
Katharine Koshie is a senior philanthropy director for the Climate Leadership Initiative (CLI) supporting donors interested in how climate philanthropy can impact health, alleviate poverty and improve the lives of women and girls around the world. She also serves as a partner for NGOs across sectors seeking to build climate solutions.
Katharine has more than 15 years of experience in a blend of fundraising and program management, with a global focus and on issues related to women’s health. Prior to joining CLI, Katharine worked for the Global Fund for Women, the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health and the University of California at San Francisco to build initiatives throughout India, Sub-Saharan Africa and the United States.
With a dual MPH/MBA from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Katharine views the world through a health lens and is excited to help philanthropists connect their interests to the health and climate space. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two young daughters, Katharine is as committed as ever to being part of a movement to address the biggest challenge of our time for her children’s future.
